The Crucible Cast & Crew Biographies

Thank you for coming to see YHS Theatre Arts' production of Arthur Miller's "The Crucible."



Please read below about our wonderful cast and crew!


  • Yasmin Albashir has been involved in theatre since freshman year, starting out as an actor in Puffs. She is now Head Carpenter, and welcomes you to Salem. She hopes to see you aboard the S.S American!

  • Josie Barton (Costume) was in Beauty And The Beast, One Acts, And Les Miserable at YHS

  • Axel (Josephine Axel Blake) served as part of Front of House and is excited for his first year on YHS tech, especially with a show like The Crucible!

  • Hunter Bombaci (Front of House) is a sophomore at YHS, and is pleased to be a part of this production!

  • Grace Bouda (Assistant Stage Manager) is beyond excited to be a part of this production of The Crucible. Previous shows: The Play That Goes Wrong (assistant stage manager) and Les Miserables (props/run crew. Thank you to all of the amazing people involved in this production!

  • Grace (Elizabeth Grace Bowser) served as part of the Run Crew and is so excited for you to enjoy The Crucible. This is her first show so she's really excited!

  • Meeghan Brown (Mary Warren) is in 10th grade, and this is her second show at YHS after having a blast in Les Misérables. Her other shows have included Mary Poppins and Annie. Besides witch hunting, she enjoys playing soccer and singing. She hopes you have a spooky Halloween!

  • Caitlin Burke, as Betty Parris, is 15, a sophomore at Yorktown and so excited to be a part of The Crucible. Some of her previous roles include Celia in As You Like It, and Ensemble in last year’s production of Les Mis. Outside of acting, Caitlin enjoys singing in the National Children’s Choir, playing soccer, doing debate, and skiing with her family. She’d like to thank her family for always supporting her and hopes you enjoy The Crucible!

  • Livea Carmen (Elizabeth Proctor) has loved the whole process leading up to this production of The Crucible, and is thrilled to be performing! Livea is in 12th grade, and her past shows at Yorktown include Annie, Puffs, Beauty and the Beast, The Play That Goes Wrong, and Les Mis. She’d like to thank her family, cast and crew, and Mrs. Kravitz for making this show come to life!

  • This is Ava Check’s (Prop Master) fifth show with Yorktown theater, and she is thrilled to be a part of crew.

  • Cordelia Clayton (Assistant Director) graduated from YHS last year, but couldn’t resist coming back for more! Cordelia is a college freshman attending NOVA and has loved experiencing a Yorktown show from a new perspective— big thanks to Ms Kravitz for the opportunity!

  • Gabe Cohen (Assistant Sound Designer + Mic Crew Member) is a 10th grader at YHS. He enjoys working with audio, and composes music in his free time. He is very excited to be a part of The Crucible, his first high school play!

  • Sev Conley (Francis Nurse) is in their junior year at YHS, and is thrilled to be apart of their third official Yorktown Theater production. Past shows at YHS include The Play That Goes Wrong as the understudy for Thomas Colleymoore (Robert) as well as tech ensemble, and Les Mis as apart of the mic tech crew. Outside of YHS, Sev participates in shows as Signature theater (Sig. in the schools program) as well as The Theater Lab D.C. (The Prom, Titanic, Footloose). Sev's hobbies also include digital/traditional art, writing, and video games. Sev cannot wait for this years musical as well as the one acts and shows to come!

  • Payton Cooper is in his senior year and his fourth year with tech theater. He went from run crew to Assistant Stage Manager to now the Stage Manager. Payton thinks of his crew as family and although he’s sad about this being his last Yorktown play, he’s very excited for what’s next. He also wants to shout out his mom, sister, and girlfriend for all their support. On to the musical!!

  • Molly Cooper (Run Crew) is in 9th grade and is super excited for her first production!

  • Simon Davis is a freshman at Yorktown and played among the Salem Townspeople Ensemble. He hopes you enjoy the show!

  • Mia Edwards (Hopkins) is a junior at Yorktown. She hopes you enjoy the show!

  • Sara Evens played among the Salem Girls Ensemble and is very excited to be a part of this years show. This will be her 3rd production here at Yorktown. Thanks to everyone for making the YHS theater department such an amazing and welcoming place. Love you all and congratulation on such an awesome show!

  • Natalie Gilmore (Susanna Walcott) is so excited to be in this production! She has been in the Yorktown One Acts and Les Misérables(Lovely Lady). She would like to thank Ms. Kravitz, her friends, and her parents. Enjoy the show!

  • Caitlin Good played Sarah Good. This production has been one of her favorites with Yorktown Theatre because of how much she learned and developed skills as an actor. But above all it was the people who made all of this possible that have made this experience the best. Thank you to Ms Kravitz, my parents, and my fellow witches.

  • Cassidy Greenwait served as Costume Designer and is a senior at Yorktown. She hopes you enjoy the show!

  • Harper Herndon (Salem Girls Ensemble) is a sophomore and thrilled to be apart of her second Yorktown show! Some of her recent productions include A Dream is a Wish: Disney in Concert, Big Fish, and A Chorus Line. She wants to thank her friends and family for their continuous support. She hopes you enjoy the show! 1 Timothy 1:17

  • Laney Hart (Rebecca Nurse) is thrilled to be in her 4th main stage production at Yorktown HS. She is so grateful for the cast and crew of this production, her dad, and everyone who came to see the show! Previous shows include; Secret in the Wings, Titanic, Romeo & Juliet, Play That Goes Wrong, The Prom, Beauty and the Beast, Puffs, Urinetown, and The Addams Family.

  • Kate Herrmann (Martha Corey & Salem Girl) is thrilled to be in the Yorktown production of The Crucible! Previous Yorktown shows include Annie, Puffs, Beauty and the Beast, and Les Mis. Thanks to everyone for their support!

  • Carissa Holmberg (Run Crew) is in 9th grade at YHS, and is excited to be a part of her first high school production!

  • Senior Luke Hoppe (Giles Corey) is thrilled to be in his sixth show at YHS. Special thanks to his family, Ash, Jennifer, and Charley Hoppe, as well as his friends Livea, Drew, Katie, Gianna, and Kate. Let’s have a great senior year!

  • Bella Houston (Mercy Lewis) is beyond excited to be a part of her last play at Yorktown. Previous shows at Yorktown: Star to be (Annie); Myrtle/Frenchy (PUFFS); Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Eponine (Les Miserables). Other shows: Centerstage Academy-7 shows, Notable roles: Young Tarzan (Tarzan), Cruella De Vil (101 Dalmatians), Muzzy Van Hossmere/Stenographer tapper (Thoroughly Modern Millie); Beauty and the Beast (VMT-Sandler Center-ensemble); Crucible (Paramount Theatre-Betty); Nutcracker (Goldsboro Ballet-Clara); Annie (Cape Fear Regional Theatre-Duffy); Love Life (Duke University/New York City Center-Elizabeth) She thanks the directors, cast, crew, mentors, family, and friends.   • Set Builder Kawasaki Johnson is a junior at Yorktown. He hopes you enjoy the show!

  • Spencer Johnson (Reverand John Hale) is in the 12th grade at Yorktown High School. He has been a member of the Yorktown Chamber Orchestra and has performed in Latin dramatic interpretation for the past four years. He is excited to be a part of his first Yorktown production.

  • Liam Kalchbrenner (John Willard) is a senior at Yorktown and is very excited for his second Yorktown high school production. He performed in last year’s musical Les Miserables as Enjolras and cannot wait to perform as Marshal John Willard in The Crucible.

  • Josh Kamp played among the Salem Townspeople Ensemble and is a junior at Yorktown. He hopes you enjoy the show!

  • Isabella Kirkwood played Tituba. This has been one of Isabella's favorite plays to do and she is so excited for everyone to see!

  • Brady Knott (Judge Hathrone) is a 10th grader at Yorktown High School. He was previously in the YHS production of Les Miserables. He has participated in numerous other productions, such as Frozen Jr, Wizard of Oz, and Annie Jr. He would like to thank his dogs and his parents for supporting him! “It matters not what you have done but what you do with what you’ve done for others.”- Noah Centineo

  • Carson Knowles (John Proctor) is dying for you to see this production. She is excited to be a part of her fifth show at Yorktown High School. A few previous shows at Yorktown include: Cedric (PUFFS); Chris Bean (The Play That Goes Wrong), and Madame Thenardier (Les Miserables). Carson has also participated in various YHS One Acts. Many thanks to the cast, crew, and director for making this show happen. And thanks to the audience for coming to hang with us today!

  • Meera Kopec was the Light Board Operator and is in 10th grade and this is her first show on crew at YHS. She is so excited for you to enjoy The Crucible.

  • Allison Larmee played among the Salem Girls Ensemble and is very excited to be part of this production! She is in 11th grade and this is her fourth performance here at Yorktown!

  • Colin Lee (Thomas Putnam) is a 9th grader and is thrilled to be a part of his first Yorktown production. Before attending Yorktown he attended Swanson Middle School where he was in shows such as Newsies JR, Wizard Of Oz, and Anne of Green Gables. Other favorites include: Sound Of Music and Treasure Island. He hopes you enjoy the show!

  • Max Lehnert (Salem Townspeople Ensemble) has in YHS theater for two years. He's enjoyed every day of it, and working on this play has been so much fun. The thing he values most about this experience is the social aspect. The best has come out to shine in this play and the community that comes with theater is fantastic and he is grateful for everyone that he knows now because of theater class. He has wanted to be a part of an experience like this for so long. He has been part of one act plays at Yorktown as well, and those have been life changing in its own way because of the small, friendly space of the black box which is where the plays are performed. The confidence that every actor processes helps him get through tough scenes, and he is excited for the next opportunity!

  • Sarah Lennox (Ann Putnam) is 15 years old and a sophomore at Yorktown High school. She is ecstatic to be a part of The Crucible and was previously in The Play That Goes Wrong (Stage Crew Actor) and Les Misérables (Featured Soloist, Lovely Lady). Outside of Yorktown, Sarah was in the movie The Audition with American University (Featured Classmate) and The Weapon (Alexa Vinholf). Sarah’s been studying Musical Theatre through the Signature Theatre Stage One program in Shirlington for the past 2 years. She was recently accepted into Signature Theatre’s Apprenticeship Program as well. Sarah has had a fantastic time throughout the process of this show and can’t wait for you to be swept off your feet with the incredible, maybe even bewitching performance of The Crucible!

  • Giovanna Litow played among the Salem Townspeople Ensemble and is a freshman at Yorktown and this is her very first time being in a YHS show. She did a couple shows back in middle school and she is very excited to be able to be a part of this one. Lots of thanks to everyone, but especially to Ms. Kravitz for giving her this opportunity and to her cat, Iggy, for always keeping her on her toes.

  • Erin McGeehan (Salem Girl) is an 11th grade student at YHS. She has been in productions of The Lion King Jr (Ed), Anne of Green Gables (Minnie Mae), The Play That Goes Wrong (u/s Arthur), Les Miserables (student), and multiple other YHS shows. She is very excited to be part of this show, and hopes you enjoy it. Also don’t believe what anyone says, nobody saw Goody McGeehan with the devil. Probably.

  • Peyton Olsen (Costume/Mic Crew) is a sophmore. This is their 3rd production at Yorktown. Productions include: Play That Goes Wrong, Les Miserables. She hopes you enjoy The Crucible.

  • Alejandro Ortega (Reverand Parris) is a senior at Yorktown, and is eager to portray Reverend Parris in The Crucible! He first appeared on stage as Cecil Haversham in The Play That Goes Wrong, where he found his passion for theater. He would like to thank his brother, mother and Elizabeth Marshall for helping him memorize his lines. He also really enjoys Deftones and Nirvana.

  • Evie Parr (Ezekiel Cheeber) is a senior at Yorktown. They hope you enjoy the show!

  • Vivi Parsons (Costumes) is in 10th grade at YHS and is so excited to be part of The Crucible. This is Vivi’s fourth show working in costumes. Previous shows include The Play That Goes Wrong, Les Miserables, and Ares and Aphrodite.

  • Natalie Piersall served as a Sound Designer/Sound Board Operator and is a senior at Yorktown. She hopes you enjoy the show!

  • Ryan Schimenti played among the Salem Townspeople Ensemble and is a senior at Yorktown. He hopes you enjoy the show!

  • Sarah Sedall played among the Salem Girls Ensemble. This is Sarah's third year doing theater productions. She likes being in theater because of the sense of close community. Outside of theater she likes animals and has seven pets. She wants to thank Ms. Kravitz for making all this possible.

  • Marney Shattuck is a Salem Girl in The Crucible! She had such a great time this year in this show, and can’t wait for everyone to see it!

  • Jenna Sheetz is in the Salem Girls Ensemble. Some other performances she has been in are Les Mis, Dear Edwina Jr, Ares and Aphrodite, and The Mystery at Shady Acres. Some activities she enjoys outside of theater are diving, acapella, volunteering, debate, and she started a mental health club. Her favorite subject in school is math but enjoy all of the subjects. She is super excited for this show and hope you enjoy it!

  • Katie Shore (Abigail Williams) is thrilled and so grateful to be playing Abigail in the Crucible and has loved every minute of the process that led up to the production of this amazing show! Her past shows at Yorktown Include Annie, Beauty and the Beast, The Play That Goes Wrong and Les Miserables. Katie wants to thank her dad, brother, grandparents and the rest of her family for always supporting her theater endeavors. Katie wants to give an extra special thank you to the amazing cast, crew and Mrs. Kravitz for making this show what it is. This show has been an amazing experience and one she will never forget!

  • Sofia Spugnardi is overjoyed to be a part of this production. She is in 10th grade and this is her first time as a Lighting Designer for a full length play. She hopes you enjoy the show.

  • Nadija Trefz served as a Set Builder and is a sophomore at Yorktown. They hope you enjoy the show!

  • Sydney Verdi, who played among the Salem Townspeople Ensemble is a sophomore and is really excited to be part of her second Yorktown show! She was in Les Mis last spring and is in Yorktown choir. Have a great show!

  • Lauren White, an 11th grader at YHS is very excited to return to the theatre. She worked on Les Mis last year and is so excited to fill the role of Assistant Manager this year!

  • Drew Wright (Governer Danforth) is very excited to be able to share such a spoooky tale with you all! Drew has been in other productions at Yorktown, including Les Mis (Marius), Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere), and The Play that Goes Wrong (Arthur). Drew is in 12th grade and hopes to go to college for musical theatre. He would like to thank both of his parents for keeping him sane so far this year, as well as his brother for keeping him humble.   • Paisley is a junior at Yorktown and served as The Crucible’s Assistant Sound Designer/Head of the Mics, and Run Crew. She hopes you enjoy the show!
