Update: Due to the threat of inclement weather, Yorktown High School's Theatre Arts Parents' Potluck Social and Information Night, scheduled Tuesday, February 11 at 5:30 pm, has been postponed until further notice.
Think of this announcement as an exercise in delayed gratification :).
One of the best features of Yorktown Theatre Arts is its ability to create community with multiple In Real Life experiences and interactions. While we could host an online event, it will be more rewarding to meet in person.
Therefore, please stay tuned for a new Social and Information Night! We will most likely host the event after the winter season concludes. Event information will be posted on this blog and on other social outlets.
What to Expect
During our Theatre Potluck Social and Information Night, we will cover the following information:
Learn about upcoming events and productions - including the upcoming Spring musical
Hear from current students about their experiences in the theatre program
Find out how parents can get involved
Participate in student-led theatre activities
Enjoy refreshments and connect with the YHS theatre community
Enter an exclusive drawing to win four VIP tickets to opening night of Anything Goes!
For the potluck, we ask that current YHS students plan contribute as follows:
Last names beginning with A -E bring drinks to share
Last names beginning with F-Z bring a dessert to share (label allergens)
Eighth grade attendees - be our guests!
See you in...soon!
This event is open to all parents/guardians and students currently involved in the theatre program, as well as current eighth grade students (and their parents/guardians) who may be interested in getting involved in theatre in their freshman year!
